Spa Hill Allotment Society will be holding a Fun Day on Saturday 16th September from 11.00am – 4.00pm.

We welcome individuals and organisations who would like to provide a stall. Application forms for hiring pitches can be obtained from our office at 180 Spa Hill, SE 19, between 10.00 am and noon on Saturdays or Sundays or by contacting Chris Seaman (020 8771 1386 or chairperson@spahillallotments.org.uk). The cost of a pitch is £10 for members of SHAS and £15 for non-members.

We would also appreciate donations of books, bric-a brac, unwanted crockery and items suitable for inclusion in a raffle or on a tombola stall.

Offers of help on the day would also be much appreciated – helping with stalls and sideshows, stewarding, providing refreshments, etc.
Prior to the event help is needed with publicity – media coverage, posters and leafletting. Again, please contact the Society office or Chris if you can offer support in advance or on the day.

Please help to make this day a success.

The London Fire Brigade has issued a safety warning on the use of disposable BBQs. In some cases, the disposable BBQs do not go out completely and have caused fires.

Please do not use disposable BBQs on your plot.

The Annual General Meeting of the Society will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday 1 April 2023 at 180 Spa Hill.

Items for the agenda and any motions must be delivered in writing to the Society Office by Sunday 19 March 2023. Members proposing and seconding a motion must both sign the motion submitted for debate.

Nomination forms for election for the President and to the Management Committee are available from distribution or from the office.

Completed nomination forms signed by the proposer, seconder and by the candidate (all of which must be current members) must be returned to the Society office by Saturday 19 March 2023. Nominations will only be accepted when submitted on the official Society form.

Copies of the annual accounts will be available from the office at least one week before the meeting.
