Flower bouquet workshop

Spa Hill Allotment Society presents a demonstration of wrapped, hand tied flower bouquet and bow making.

Time: Sunday 5 June 2022 at 2:30pm
Location: at the Allotment Hall

Led by Carmen, a qualified senior florist with 15 years of experience (NVQ level 1 and 2 in Floristry).

If you want to have a go in making your own bouquet on the day please bring the following:

  • Your own flowers. You will need 3 types (some cheap ones will do as we are only practising) eg roses, carnations, chrysanthemums and spray carnations. You can also bring any flowers that you may have in your garden or allotment.
  • Foliage. If you can’t find any foliage, don’t worry – we will have some available for you to use.

You will also need your own scissors and secateurs.

Wrap and ribbons will be available to buy should you wish to complete the look of your presentation bouquets.

Bring your friends and family, learn a new skill and have some fun!

Entrance fee: £5 per person with £2 deposit on registration. This includes refreshments, foliage and other materials

If interested, please see Josie – at the plant sales in the polytunnel on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am – 12noon (or text her – phone number on poster at entrance gate).

The bouquets that Carmen makes will be put in a raffle. Good Luck!

Hedge Trimming

Protect our wild birds!

Please avoid trimming the hedges during the nesting season for wild birds – March to August. This is not only a policy favoured by the RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds) but, in many instances, is a legal requirement on properties such as allotments.

Thank you for your cooperation.
